CBT for depression in glasgow

Depression can make everything feel heavier than it should, getting up, going to work, seeing people you love. If you're here, you've probably already done the hardest part: noticing that things need to change.

I'm Emma, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Glasgow's West End. I offer CBT for depression in a safe space where we can explore what's going on for you and work together towards meaningful change. Sessions are available in person or online, whichever feels right for you.

How CBT can help with depression

CBT looks at the link between how we think, how we feel, and what we do. Depression often brings patterns of thinking that keep us stuck, and CBT gives us practical, evidence-based tools to notice those patterns and gently shift them.

This isn't about masking how you feel or rushing you towards "positive thinking." It's about understanding what's keeping the low mood going, and building small, workable changes from there, at a pace that suits you.

What to expect from CBT for depression

Sessions are 50 minutes, in-person in the West End or online. We'll start by talking through what's brought you here and what you'd like to get out of our work together. There's no obligation and no pressure, just a conversation to see whether this feels like the right fit.

Working together, gently

Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone. If you think CBT might help, I'd love to hear from you.
