relationship counselling in glasgow

Relationship counselling is for you if you're the one carrying the weight of a difficult relationship, whether that's a partner, a family member, or someone else close to you. This is one-to-one work, just you and me, focused on understanding the patterns you keep finding yourself in and what might need to change, for you.

I'm Emma, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Glasgow's West End. I offer a supportive, down-to-earth space to explore what's going on and work towards change that's led by you.
Who this is for
Maybe you're in a relationship that leaves you feeling small, unsure, or on edge. Maybe you keep ending up in the same kind of relationship, even when you don't want to. Maybe someone you love is struggling, and it's affecting you too. This isn't couples counselling, we won't be sitting across from your partner. It's a space for you to think clearly about your own experience, on your own terms.
How relationship counselling can help
CBT looks at the thoughts and patterns that keep us stuck, including the ones that show up in our closest relationships. We'll explore what's driving the dynamics you're caught in, the beliefs about yourself and others that keep certain patterns repeating, and build a clearer sense of what you need and how to hold onto it.
What to expect
Sessions are 50 minutes, in-person or online. We'll start with a conversation about what's going on and what you'd like from our work together. There's no pressure and no obligation, just space to think it through.
Working together
You don't have to keep navigating this alone. If this sounds like what you need, I'd love to hear from you.
